Malacca - 就是要吃 . Mods Cafe

Mods cafe is a new cafe only started its business at 2012 (if I got it correctly) No wonder I have never spotted it during my years in Malacca. It locates at Jalan Tokong, a street away from the famous Jonker Street. We walked from the Jonker's main stage, where the road split into two, one is toward Jonker another is toward Jalan Tokong. We found Mods Cafe within 5min of walking, I guess? It was a perfect weather for walking in Malacca, cloudy and windy. 

Trust me, as long as you on the correct street, you won't miss this tiny gems on the street. If you spotted a Volkswagen in a shop, just walk in, that is Mods Cafe. I guess we were lucky that day, the cafe was not as crowded as I supposed it will. It is a tiny cafe with less than 5 tables, only one was occupied. We got ourselves seated at the third table. Menu is fixed by table's side. I loves the hippie atmosphere the owner created here. The very 50s ~ 60s era.

My mate, who doesn't needs caffeine that evening decided to order for Ice Chocolate. And well, let me think what did I order for myself. Coffee Latte, maybe? Hmm ... my two cents comments for the drinks. Mediocre (lol) I doubt people not coming for coffee, most likely, is for the cafe itself. Of course, don't get me wrong. The beverage might not suite our taste but it might suite yours, who knows.

We ordered for a Tiramisu, recommended by the staff. I won't say it is the best tiramisu I ever try, but it was a pretty good one. I bet the ladyfingers must be dipped in liquor. The hard liquor was kinda strong for my taste bud. Luckily it didn't drunk both of us.

Some shots before the cafe was filled up not long after we came in. White wall, white tables and white chairs, with a Volkswagen's van in the cafe. Brilliant idea!

By the way, partial of the coffee making equipment are equipped in the van. This little van can be a moving cafe when required. Interesting right ~
