Opera, Empire Shopping Gallery

There is a newly open pastry shop in Empire, taking over the previous pastry shop. I had been monitoring the customer flow of this new shop, Opera for a while. Sad to say it is not attracting too much of attention comparing to the same size of shop, Whisk, which is right beside. The main point that caught my attention is mille crepes. I had been searching around KL and PJ and yet to discover one that able to defeat Nadaje, or minimal, at the same level. Not until I saw Opera's mille crepes. It generally looks gorgeous and tempting of course. We decided to give it a try after several months, although this shop, seriously, always empty.  mascarpone mille crepes We were the second pair of customer in the shop. The initial plan was trying out an original mille crepes, it ended with one mascarpone mille crepes. Why? It was the last piece there, so .... I just took it and emptied the mascarpone mille crepes section. The layering are the best among those I had tried in ...

強記補品, somewhere in front Shaw Parade

Keong  Kee, can't say it is a restaurant .. it is just some kind of road site stall under a tree with a lot of tables scatter behind the "cooking area". I seriously don't understand how they manage to have such a big land to setup their business in the mid of city center. Usually these places are all transform to be parking area, charging daily parking rate from RM5 onwards.  Back to the main topic, my colleague brought me here, it is an unique place serving unique food. Ermm ... I mean, something normal like curry wild boar to something more adventurous like squirrel soup. This time, I came with my mate. We did not come to KL with no apparent reason, it just happen that I had some overnight job and requested to stay back in hotel. Great timing for him to try out the food here. Don't feel like going wild tonight, we placed our order safe. 3 dishes with a soup, 3 rices (yeah, tambah nasi), and a drink, total bill near RM30. Kinda worth it, foods are generally del...

Sun Yin Loong, Kota Damansara

Sun Yin Loong is the usual place for our Sunday breakfast. Majority of the stalls' serving are above average. It is a challenging task to spot an empty table during weekend, especially if it is pass 9am. Our practice? Previously was always after 930am, however, we manage to make it before 8am recently. Less crowd and cooling morning breeze. hakka noddle I like this hakka noodle. The stall is run by a young couple, the guy is preparing the noodle while the lady serving it to table. Minced pork, vege and fried wanton are package in one serving. An additional will be either chicken slices, cha siew or fish paste. It can be done in dry or in soup, either spicy or non spicy. claypot yee mee The best ever claypot yee mee I ever try. It looks like every claypot yee mee available, some vege, some meat balls, minced pork and meat slices. However, the soup is the one make the different. It is so rich in taste.  Order it with an egg, cracks and mix it with the soup. It brings the wh...

Kafe Idaman, Kota Damansara

kafe idaman We usually come over for supper, hardly during dinner time. Roti canai here is delicious, the dough is different with those made by Idian ... oh ya ... the roti canai master is a malay chef. He got his poster standing beside the restaurant. Generally all the roti serving are delicious, I personally loves the roti bom. Understand from my sister the roti bawang is tasty as well. Not to forget are their roti canai and roti telur. Ermm ... basically everything ... This time since both of us managed to reach home so early to catch up for a proper dinner, thus, we decided to spend ourselves a good meal here. Initially we planned to order for nasi goreng ladna, a chicken soup, a telur bistik and a teh-o ice limau. Somehow, a mee goreng and a air bandung turned out while we placing our order. Hmmm .... nevermind ... is a special night ... my mate said, usually when something extra appeared during our order. nasi goreng ladna Nasi goreng ladna was served first. The rice was frie...
