Rango出乎意料的好看. 一只蜥蜴的冒險故事, 帶出了久違的牛仔情懷. 當中, 最吸引我的其實不是Johnny Depp配音的蜥蜴, 而是4只貓頭鷹樂隊. 這貓頭鷹樂隊唱出了電影裡的多首好歌, 也連貫了整部電影.  話說回來, 電影之後, 我們還有點時間來個點心下午茶之類的. 我倆覺得還是吃點東西打個底才去參加婚宴比較好. 就這樣的踏入了Austin Chase. 我們只點了一杯熱巧克力, 還有一個巧克力mille crepe. Mille crepe是從網路上訂購的, 聽說賣得挺不錯, 今天終於有機會試吃了. Chocolate mille crepe 近距離一看, crepe與crepe間的層次並不明顯, 看起來就是糊成一團. 試吃結果? 下次想要吃mille crepe還是乖乖的回到馬六甲的Nadaje吃吧. 這個, 單品的價碼並不便宜, 味道也只不過爾爾. 好懷念Nadaje的mille crepe. hot chocolate 熱巧克力味道倒是還不錯, 味道很濃厚香醇.  - the end -

Been waiting for Rango since last year, finally it is now showing in cinema. Tickets purchase online from GSC website, Garden's Singnature GSC twin seat. Nice seating for good show. We were actually behind schedule, it was already 11am when we arrived Garden. Traffic was surprisingly smooth and we found parking with no challenge.   nasi tumpang We were targetting The Warung as our lunch destination before the show begin at 1:40pm. It suppose just to be a light lunch, yet we ended ordering for 2 nasi and 2 drinks. No resistance to food at all. Nasi tumpang at Warung is mean to be serve as main course where else Belanga serve it as snack. We were at Pavilion one weekend, looking for a pair of earing. Knowing the food cost will be higher, we went in with a tummy full breakfast. No luck at Thomas Sabo, yet we ended up in The Loaf for tea time.  small danish and puff It is run by our ex-prime, been in market for years. It was my first visit after "intai-ing" and touring the shop for few times. I mean, the one in Empire. We took small danish and puff. The chocolate danish and custard danish having similar taste, the topping did not make too much different at bite. I likes the puff a lot, especially the cream puff. Whipped cream is not too sweet in taste, the icing sugar scattering over the puff shell refine the taste by balancing the sweetness between cream and shell. hot & cold coffee We enjoyed our evening there, it is at a very strategic location for us to "review" people passed by for escalator. I has been thinking pretty long for this post, Secret Recipe. Famous chain restaurant, best in Kota Bharu where they will close for dine in during first day of raya, only doing cake selling, reservation only. Cakes are stakes from inside the restaurant until outside at the walk path. Half ceiling tall, 2 to 3 rows wide.  Ermmm ... out of topic. I love Secret Recipe's walnut brownie, it always my choice if I am craving for sweetie stuff. It is the most convenient to reach place, anywhere in any shopping mall. Ermm ... out of topic again. This time, is for Trans Fat Free Peach Cream Cake. It does not taste as awesome as it is presented. Frankly, I prefer Durian Cheese Cake than this.  Peach Cream Cake - the end -

Pulau Banting is located at the mid of east-west highway. It is a man made island at Temenggor Lake, covered with millions years old Belum Rainforest. The driving along the east-west highway will never be as bored as north-south highway. It is so scenic, greenish rain-forest along the highway, always prepare to get surprise at next turn.  We wind down the car window ever since we entered the east-west gerik highway. There was still mild rain, get ourselves refresh with cooling air. We stopped by Pulau Banting after 4hours of driving. I am still surprise by the scene whenever approaching the bridge connect to Pulau Banting. There are some stalls down the bridge, right beside the lake. Ramli Burger We ordered for 2 Ramli burgers, double meat special with cheese. RM4 each if not mistaken. The young boy who prepared the burgers for us is a skillfull burger maker. Taste? My mate insisted to visit Yati grilled chicken since he did not manage to eat even a slice during our visit last year. This time, whole row of chicken panggang waiting for him there.  ayam panggang We arrived around 7pm, almost full house. Very good business still after so many years, guess they maintain the quality. We got ourselves a table, my dad placed the order while we went to see any extra interesting dish to add on.  nasi kerabu ... white rice =.=''' Everyone got a nasi kerabu, blue rice was sold out, left with white rice only. Too bad, need to come early next time. Telur masin was extra ordered, mixed them all together, and you will have a heavenly taste. ayam yati Frankly, it will be just a normal grilled without the super duper delicious source. The thick yellowie coconut based source is the highlight, of course the chicken is not over grilled, remain the tenderness of chicken. After 6hours of driving, we finally entered the border of Kelantan, Gua Musang. As usual, stopped by at KFC, not for lunch but toilet. Walking on the main street, not much makan shop doing business today. I remember there should be some shops behind the main street. Hopped in the car and go. I ter-glanced a tiny shop behind this big mamak under a giant tree. Not much tables, but ... all occupied ... must be quite a decent shop. quite a number of choices Parked the car, walked there. Waited few minutes for one uncle to finish his last few bites. Not too sure what to order, I was attracted by curry mee initially, but, the owner said today no curry mee. Nevermind, walked nearer to the stall, wow ... published in newspaper for ... "xiang di mian" .... ? Fragrance noodle? Lets try it then ... its a home made noodle, look similar to "yee mee", just slightly thinner, fresh made everyday. So, one "xiang di mian" and one "fu zou lo mee" xiang di mian ...

McDonald launched 2 new family breakfast set cater for 2 to 3 person and 3 to 4 person. We targeted the family breakfast set A costing RM19.90 inclusive of a muffin, pancake set, big breakfast, 2 hash brown, 2 coffees and most important, the breakfast set box.  actually I just crazy about the box We were at the McDonald before exiting to Genting Highland, the usual one I always dated my friends if we were going out of KL area. It was 6:30 in the morning, surprisingly few tables were occupied. Huh ... people wake up so early for McD breakfast? Or they just having it before sleep? Approaching counter, pointing at the set A, yeah ... thats all I want our breakfast Frankly, the food amount is just ngam ngam for both of us. I likes McD breakfast than its normal set meals. Next time shall just try out the Family Breakfast Set B, for 3 to 4 person, RM24.90. Should be OK la .. can just sit there from breakfast to lunch ma .... coffee is free refill anyway. breakfa...

Drove back to Kelantan, 2 days 1 night trip, total of 1000km. The applause shall go to the 12 years old kancil that is so tahan lasak on the road for 8 hours. Glad that we had a cooling weather all the way during our journey back to Kelantan, this reduce the possibility of water boiling during long hours driving. We off the air cond, wind down the car window for fresh air.  Journey starts at 6am, from Subang Jaya, first stop at Karak highway famous Mcd. A set of family set A breakfast warmed our tummy and energized us until lunch time. Second stop was 6 hours later at Gua Musang where we accidentally discovered a super duper delicious noodle selling stall, home made noodle taste yi-chi-ban. Reached home 2 hours later, it was rainning after Gua Musang. Best part, one full tank RM43, can tahan for 455km with a little bit of extra mile.
