Pangkor Island Resort - Hornbill Restaurant Before Leaving

Woke up in the morning, no rain today. Goleking on bed for a while before get ourselves ready for breakfast again in Hornbill Restaurant for one last time before we leave the resort.  Outdoor seats are finally available today. We picked the last seat on the wooden deck. Food serving this morning did have a little changes compare to yesterday. Mee soup is no longer serving today, it was replaced with mee soto, great taste! My pancake was replaced with waffles, thin and crispy waffles. I awarded myself  (for no apparent reason!!??) with 2 waffles and 2 cups of coffees this morning.   waffle with peanut and honey We took our time to enjoy the breakfast, no rushing since we going to check out later, catching the 12pm boat back to Lumut again. Back to room packing our stuff, return to lobby for bill clearing, and waiting for our shuttle to bring us to jeti. 3D2N in Pangkor Island, yeah, we both got a bit tan, a bit sun burn, but hey, we do have a lot o...

Pangkor Island Resort - Room Service

Initial plan was dinner at Monkey Bar, one last station that we yet to try out. Unluckily, it was closed, again! for private dinner. Not planning to go back Pacific Terrance nor Hornbill Restaurant, I suggested for room service. This idea was immediately approved by him, excitedly. I had then, suggested again, 2 cokes from kiosk? It was then immediately agreed by him. So, he went to buy cokes and I approached to reception confirming our check out time and buggy schedule.  Headed back to room happily with 2 cokes in hand, fridge them up while waiting for our room service. I had called for a double mushroom soup and a pangkor pizza. The order came with 2 free buns, and the pizza is huge!  dinner! Double mushroom soup was definitely superb, beat the chilled whatever whatever we ordered last night. Bun taste normal but I loves the butter. The soup is serves in quite a big portion too.  double mushroom soup I ate 3 pieces of pizza and surrender. Too much...

Pangkor Island Resort - Kingfisher Poolside Bar

We returned the bike somewhere after 3pm, back to room for a rest before going down again for a sunset beach walking. Just noticed that we were both red and slightly sunburn after the round island trip, but, the journey was so fun and so adventurous. After a short rest, we came down to Kingfisher Poolside bar for some snacks. Loungers were all occupied. We get ourselves a comfortable seat at the bar side, where my mate had a lot of fun feeding a peacock. It was a hot evening, and it was tea time, and I feel like having a cake, and Kingfisher bar do serve cheese cake. OK! I decided mine. Well, with the same statement above, no doubt, he ordered an ice kacang for sure. It took a while for our orders to arrive. My mate was very excited when he saw the ice kacang walking toward him. It was a huge ice kacang, tall and full with plenty of stuffs in there (most had been used for peacock feeding).  giant ice kacang My cheesecake, on the other hand, looks tiny! ...

Pangkor Island Resort - Hornbill Restaurant

I woke up around 630am in the morning by automated body alarm system. It was raining out there, with the hope of rain will eventually stop when I wake up for my breakfast, I gone back in dreamland once again. My hope did not come true, it was still drizzling when we get ourselves ready for breakfast at Hornbill Restaurant. Hornbill Restaurant is located one level down from lobby. It was quite pack when we were there, guess this must be due to the wedding group that occupied most of the seats. We were seated by waiter and started with the round tour of foods available. first round Coffees were first taken, it is a usual practice for us to start our day with a hot coffee. I was very happy with the varieties of food serve here, breakfast is very important, to me. From typical western corner that serve breads, sausages, bacons, hash brown to local cuisine of nasi lemak, meehoon goreng, porridge and also cooking corner for mee soup, pan cakes and eggs corner.  secon...

Pangkor Island Resort - Pacific Terrance

One of our mission was trying all outlets available, not too much thankfully. 5 outlets plus pre-booking sunset dinner by beach which I had rule it out due to price concerned (RM205++ per person, minimum 2 persons). We are not going for Hornbill Restaurant for dinner since its going to serve us breakfast. Not Golden Oriole Lobby Lounge & bar since none of us a drinker. Kingfisher Poolside bar is close at dinner. Monkey bar was closed for the private wedding function and we left with one last choice, Pacific Terrance. We were early for dinner, the only customer that time. Seated at the corner of the wooden deck, with a stunning sea view, free show of on going wedding ceremony, and under attacked by mosquito. mineral water, gunner and fruit punch toasts and appetizer The service was efficient, we were handed with some toasts with butters not long after we placed our order. My gunner and my mate's fruit punch were both arrived not long after that. The mo...
