We decided to end our weekend holiday with a grand dinner. Sanbanto came in mind during the discussion, haven been there for long, kinda miss their porky serving. We drove there, hopping just for a small table. We were lucky, it was the last.

We were handed with menu, they are still serving their weekend English Roast Pork set. However, we just planned to have a simple full course dinner, so, the weekend menu will need to pending again until further notice.
special weekend menu
While we placing our order, although it was still raining cats and dogs, yet, customer still came in to look for food. Seems the best time to come for dinner should be 6pm - 7pm, less crowd. First serve was our salad, fresh veges with crunchy fried pork cube, came along with home made sour plum source. We did not pour it over the salad, just used it to dip with the pork cube, still tasty.
big bowl of salad
Our soup ... or some kind of gravy type soup was served shortly after salad. Dark brown in color, floating with few pieces of giant pork balls. It maybe look strange, taste ... doesn't taste like normal soup that we usually had. Thats why I called it gravy type soup (I admit I forgot the name of this dish).
strange gravy soup
I was still busy taking photo for the salad and soup. Sanbanto serving was quite efficient. Our table was filled up with last dish, favorite pork ribs when we were still busy eating.
still busy shooting
char-siew look alike
I loves this pork ribs very much. It has a mild caramel taste to it, probably due to they marinated it with honey and sugar. The temperature and timing to make this is well controlled. The skin was just nicely burned ... a bit ... to give a slight chewy at bite and the internal meat remain "oily" and juicy.
sticky honey source covering the ribs
the fat and the thin, make a heaven taste
We were so enjoyed with our main course, food quality remains although the boss was not there during our visits. Ribs were cleaned by us.
proved the finger liking good taste
