Colmar Tropicale - La Cigogne

We went back to room for a short rest and shower before we came out to hunt for dinner again. Well, still need to at least occupied the room, oh ... suite, that we rented for few hundreds buck. The rain eventually stopped, weather getting colder as the day turned dark. We had decided to go for dinner at La Cigogne, although during lunch time they only served for 2 types of set menu. Wonder what will they serve during dinner.

We flipped over the menu, luckily they do serve a la cart during dinner, probably the menu we saw during lunch time was their set lunch menu. Nice ambiance they had actually, cooling weather, nice seating, almost fully occupied when we left the restaurant. One improvement may just be they seems like under manning. A restaurant manager plus a waitress running the whole restaurant, that sound too busy.

We placed our order, starts from soup to main course to dessert. We were served with a warm crunchy bun with salted butter. Buns were in very good texture, crunch outside and soft inside. I like it a lot.

Our lobster soup was served quite fast, pretty rich in taste. I did not take too much of it, don't want to spend the rest of my day with an itchy body. We waited for a while for our main course, some kind of grilled fish I think. Quite a while until we almost thought they had forgotten our order. Yet, we were pleased with the serving, worth the long wait.

The flesh was moist and flavorful. Surprised us was there was a grill yam at bottom, well marinated and goes  great with the dish. They really put an afford on this.

We no need to wait too long this time for them to serve us with our dessert. Is my favorite creme brulee. The only thing I can complaint about this dessert was I don't like the strawberry topping. Threw it to someone tummy. Overall, it still get a high score from me.

We walked out the restaurant with a satisfied tummy. Colmar Tropicale still busy, the night is still young, it was just around 8pm. We went up to the tower, at the end of the street, enjoying the night breeze and shooting the night scene of Colmar Tropicale.
