Ichiban Boshi, Sunway Giza

Ichiban Boshi opened its door in Giza Mall long ago. Although I comes here at least once a week but I never have the intention to steps in for a meal, until it undergoes a light renovation recently. The  shop finally 'talks' to me. Without a second thought, I dragged my mate in for lunch, which at the beginning we suppose to dine in at D'Italiane Kitchen. 

Ichiban Boshi offers an extension choices. To play safe, as a first timer, we grabbed a set from the menu. A Don Don Wazen that comes with tempura, chawanmushi, miso soup, 2 bowls of rice and fruits.

I ate the carrot's tempura, wasn't too bad. Chawanmushi was smooth and silky.

Unagi don was for my mate. Despite of me not an unagi's fan, I still give it a few bites try. The sauce was awesome, goes well with the rice. Egg was fried fluffy, yet I hope the onion can be a little more caramelized. 

My bowl of Salmon Flake Maru. Yes, it's chili flakes. Interesting combination, too bad it's a bit spicy for my level. The salmon was sprinkle with sesame oil, which I personally feels a bit awkward in taste. Doesn't mean that it taste bad, its just not my kind of thing. 

Salmon Miso Roll was a good one. The salmon was seared, topped with miso paste. Rice was firmly rolled, easily handle by chopstick, yet spread evenly in mouth. 

The choices of sushi is very broad. Both me and my mate decided to return for a sushi only meal one day, for interesting sushi we spotted in menu. As for today, I just wanted to try out the one that attracted me. I forgot the name, but you wont miss it in the menu. It does look different from others. This tiny piece is so darn spicy. The rice was covered with shichimi, burned on my tongue, but this is seriously a good one.
