Ippudo Ramen, Pavillion KL

Being labelled as a ramen freak, I seriously don't want to miss out any ramen's chain in Malaysia. Ippudo was spotted when I was having leopard gathering with the bunch of crazy leopards. Long queue, I took note. Months later, I brought my mate, another freak, here, sharp at 11am, be second customer of the day. Flipping over the menu, we were not planning to take it 'too' heavy, maybe a ramen and some side dishes will do. Shall spare some space for other food later in the evening, never know.  

I ordered for Aji Onigiri, rice ball with chicken, mushroom and carrot. The rice supposed to serve in two big triangle shape, however, the waitress advise us to split it to three smaller portion, easier to consume. This mouth full size rice cube is generally not bad in taste.

Highlight of the day should be awarded to this Pork Bun. Portion is tiny, not small, its tiny. It doesn't look amazingly delicious at first glance, but it does surprised us. The bun similar to Chinese steamed mantao. Fluffy and soft. Not to mentioned the pork is sinfully delicious. It is tender, it is juicy and so flavourful.  

Deep fried young corn was ordered as we felt this dish is special. This came hot, beware to burn either finger or tongue. I kinda like the seaweed seasoning.

Ramen was the last arrived on desk. We grabbed for a combination of everything since we are sharing a bowl of this. Yes, we ordered for Shiromaru special which came with egg, pork belly and seaweed. Thumb up for the seaweed, smell awesome when it was served. My mate choose the noodle to be prepared medium, where we both are OK with the texture. Nothing too spectacular frankly. Pork broth was delicious, egg was prepared at perfect timing, seaweed was excellent, pork belly was too fatty. Yeah, my mate was the one that claimed the belly is too fatty. I personally fell this bowl of noodle is delicious, but it is lack of kick to make us return. Besides, the price is quite steep. Other ramen chains are offering more competitive price with similar combination. 

Since we didn't filled up our tummy, we stopped by for the famous Macau Pork Bun before we left KL. This chain has just open its door to public not long ago. The pork is awfully delicious. Tenderness is out of our expectation as well. Thumb up! Milk tea worth a try too.

We headed back to PJ, for a dinner at his favourite Sukiya. Oh, is our recent replacement for fast food. I like the standard Gyudon set, curry chicken rice is not bad too.
