Pasta Zanmai, Sunway Pyramid

It was an unplanned faith that we ended up at Pasta Zanmai for dinner. It was a weekday, we were at Pyramid looking for something, which eventually ... ermmm ... not buying yet. Hence, we decided to use the budge for a great dinner, Pasta Zanmai is just a floor up at where we were standing, surprisingly with no queue in front of the restaurant.

Although there wasn't a long queue in front of the restaurant, yet the dine in area was pretty filled up. Waitress brought us to a corner and gave us a space flipping through the menu.

We decided to tried out the July Special, my mate was very attracted by the Gyusuji soup ... basically .. beef and vegetables soup. Pasta Zanmai named as PASTA Zanmai of course the specialty are pasta, however, there is a sushi roll listed in the July special menu, oh well ... we gave it a try too. Main dish was ordered from menu, go wild with curry pasta.

 Gyusuji soup

Soup was served, taste not too bad actually, plenty of beef cubes were found in the soup. At least not too stingy about the meat by giving lots of vege.

Unagi roll

The unagi roll was an evolution of normal sushi roll, it uses some kind of popiah skin instead of rice nor seaweed. The roll was cut to a mouth full size, you know ... some sushi roll although taste great but you will need to open your mouth to maximum limit to squeeze it in your mouth (ello ...can put it to different bites ok!)

Tori curry pasta

The curry pasta ordered from main menu turned out in a giant bowl, my personal guess ... July specials are serve in smaller portion for water testing. Japanese chicken curry rice is my favorite, but I had never tried it with pasta. Thankfully it taste delicious.

I get myself a smaller plate of curry pasta. Those remaining was sapu by my mate. Eventually he is very interested at all kind of pasta available here and decided to try it one by one.

green tea ice cream cheese cake

This dessert was actually listed as July special, it looks tempting .. and yes ... I got zero resistance to green tea ice cream. I ordered this at the very last moment before the pretty waitress completed our order.

I am very satisfied with this dessert. Cheese cakes were cut into a mouth full pieces, definite cheesy taste to it. Green tea ice cream taste ... average, but I was attracted by the small piece of crunchy waffle at the bottom of ice cream. Shall order for something something with bigger piece of waffle next round since my mate is currently very into this restaurant.
