Pangkor Island - 玩轉邦咯島

Finally, it reached the day for our Pangkor Island trip. Since it was kinda impossible to stay at Pangkor Laut Resort, I had "abused" my hotelier identity to get a great offer at Pangkor Island Resort. It was a great bargain, Ocean Wing + 2 complimentary breakfast only at RM238++. I immediately placed my reservation for 3D2N stays, and starts counting days for the trip.

Since it is just a small island, both of us do not pre-plan any schedule for this trip, not even how to reach there. This unplanned road trip almost brought us to Taiping, where we supposed to exit at Ipoh! The best joke, we were laughing at the BIG Ipoh exit wording until we passed the split junction entering Ipoh and my mate noticed Pulau Pangkor sign-board is there, at the inner lane of North-South Highway where we could not access to it! 

It became a little bit huru-hara. We decided to continue our journey and exit at Changkat Jering toll for a u-turn back towards Ipoh. Surprise, there is a Lumut & Pulau Pangkor sign-board pointing to right after exit from Changkat Jering's toll. We were back on track again, slightly behind schedule.

Of course, we missed the 145pm boat to Pangkor Island Resort, awaiting for up coming at 345pm. The medan car park near Lumut jeti looks safe for over night parking, reasonable charges at RM5 per day. Had our lunch, back to the counter, paid for RM19 for returned ticket per person, finally we were on the boat to resort private jeti.

30 minutes on boat, and yeah! We arrived the Pangkor Island Resort private jeti. The resort's buggy was waiting for us.

Nicely great by the reception and checked in to our room. After a short rest, we came down to familiar ourselves with facilities around.

It was when I spotted Lanai room type, which was not listed in web during my reservation. It is a new room type that we both loves, facing swimming pool and sea. I want to stay here at my next visit.

What amazed us was hornbill, not one nor two, is a group of them. There is even a hornbill feeding station located beside swimming pool.

The resort is facing west, such a strategic location for sunset. While walking around the resort, we found the motorcycle renting guy and will be back tomorrow morning for a bike.
