Pangkor Laut Resort - Day 1 . Island Le Tour

09/17 (Mon) Cloudy

It was a cloudy morning, we had our standard holiday breakfast meal at McD before our journey begin. This time, with the full analyse of route day ahead, we managed to reach Pangkor Laut Resort new office at Marina Bay. We were greeted by the ground staff with cold tower and welcome drink served upon stepping in the office. While I was busy with check-in, one of staff escorted my mate to park his car at the open car park which cost RM5 per day (the final charge 3 days later was RM10). No worries on the luggage. Its well taken care by them tagging with assigned room number to be deliver directly to our room on island. We hang around nearby waiting for speed boat transfer at 1300.

The boat took off on time. We arrived Pangkor Lat Resort safely within 15minutes ride. Again, cold tower and welcome drink were served as well as front office staffs were ready in action. We understand that the check-in time is at 3pm, hence it was expected that our room is yet to be ready. We requested to have a lunch in Royal Bay Beach Club while waiting however it was fully occupied. The FO reception tried to confirm a seat for us at 2pm. We hang around at the Library where my mate felt in love with the day bed. He took a nap there until the kind receptionist found us and walked us to Royal Bay Beach Club for lunch.

We were escorted to our room after a wonderful meal at Royal Bay Beach Club. Our room apparently been upgraded to Hill Villa, where we will need to take a lift to reach. After a short rest in the room, my mate decided to look for the helipad before our dinner at Uncle Lim.

It was just a short walking distance from Hill Villa. 15minutes the most I guess. There were guests having their sweet time fishing here.

Since we still have plenty of spare time before our dinner appointment at 7:30pm, we decided to walk to the furthest Spa Villa. Of course, we will need to walk pass main lobby and Royal Bay Beach Club again. Then, we continue our way to Beach Villa and Sea Villa. We were then reached Uncle Lim and walked through Fisherman's Cove.

Finally, we entered the Spa Villa area which is in a total different ambiance. Spa Villa has their own swimming pool, library and a main reception counter. Jamu bar which served Japanese lunch and accommodate for private dinner is located here as well. With the end of exploring Spa Villa, we had completed half of the resort (as shown in map). Tomorrow, we shall continue with the other half. And now, Uncle Lim is waiting for us.
