Gantetsu + Whisk, One Utama

It has been awhile since our last visit to Gantetsu. Oh well, it has been awhile since our last visit to One Utama anyway. I wanted to bring my mate to Whisk Outspot in OneU. It changed so much ever since our last visit. A better deal would be, a dinner at our number one ramen shop, Gantetsu, and a little lay back time at Whisk after that. Set! And we are on our way, for the ramen and coffee.

Instead of order for 2 identical ramen, we usually substitute one noodle with rice. Char Siu Don in Gantetsu is an amazing bowl to have. My mate ordered one for himself that night. A bowl of well cooked Japanese fluffy rice, topped with cubes of char siu, pickles and a super awesome egg. Mixed everything together, there you go,  a wonderful bowl of char siu don for the night. 

Me, on the other hand, get the standard King Char Siu Tonkotsu. Love the pork slices serve here. Well marinated, slightly burned and look at the top fatty layer, that melted in mouth! Eggs here never fail us, always at the perfect level. The soup is the main attraction, for us. This pork based soup is so darn flavorful, well balance in sweet and salty. Gantetsu remains as our most  favorite ramen in PJ still.

After a hearty meal, we had a slow walk to Whisk located same wing, ground floor. Pretty empty. Quick glance at the time, nearly 10 at night. Probably. We walked to the counter. A hot chocolate, a nutella latte. The curly hair staff repeated our order. That's all? He asked. My mate looked at me. A cake? He smile. Alright, humming bird, please. Grabbed a sit outside, we chat, we laugh. Cheers ~ a blissful night ~
