Genting Highland - Awana . Club Suite 1511 & Rajawali Breakfast

01/27 (Sun)

After a hearty breakfast at Departure Lounge, we continued our journey to Genting Highland. I kinda forgot that it was Thaipusam, we got a 30 minutes of slow traffic near Batu Caves. However, we still managed to make our way up to Awana at 11am. We were welcomed by cold weather, misty and windy. I booked a room at Awana, a Deluxe Room. The receptionist informed that there wasn't any available Deluxe Room upon our checked in, but ... ... if I don't mind she can upgrade it to Club Suite. I mind? Of course I don't.

Club Suite 1511
Took the lift down to level 1, we found our room, 1511. Swiped the key card, we entered the room. Behind the door was a walk way, washroom was at the first left area. Its a huge one, equipped with rain showers (with freezing cold water), toilet bowl, basin, bath tub and some basic amenities. Sufficient bath towels provided, 2 big towels, 2 small towers and 2 hand towels. The only complaint is the flushing button for toilet bowl is quite tight. We need to press it hard in order for it to flush properly.
The washroom and bedroom is connected. A queen size bed is provided. I'm not sure why it needed an air-cond and a fan in the room under such a cold weather. We only on the fan in the room, at the minimum speed it can. Oh ya, the pillows are very soft. We generally don't like a soft pillow.
At the end of the walk way, is a living room and a small kitchen. The kitchen, is not only equipped  with kettle and fridge, an induction cooker is provided as well. We didn't cook, my mate just be my butler by preparing coffee and tea for me.
The living room is bigger than our own house. We spend our night on the sofa ... ... watching TV shows. The door beside is not a balcony. It was an outdoor area almost the same size as our car porch, facing the golf's field.
The only thing we can defeat is TV, ours is bigger. We spend sometime in the room before catching the free shuttle to Genting Skyway. Long queue there, we waited for 30 minutes just to get in a cable car.

Rajawali Restaurant
We had our breakfast at Rajawali restaurant in Awana. Frankly, don't put a high expectation. Coffee and tea are both from machine, a machine similar to Nescafe's machine, or it is a Nescafe's machine?
The restaurant is big, but the layout for breakfast buffet is awkward. I went for my first tour, came back with a plate of nasi dagang, curry fish, fried egg and peanuts. Not bad la ~
I warned my mate, not much choices there. Then, he went for his tour and came back with a nasi lemak, curry chicken, ikan bilis and sambal. Its from the same section where I took my nasi dagang.
I wasn't satisfy with only nasi dagang and went for my second tour, came back with a bowl of honey star. My mate had the same too.
Of course he won't be satisfy without sausages. I discovered the hidden area and alerted him, he came back with below. Hmmm ... beef sausage was very juicy though ~
